What Students Say
“After taking a number of mosaic classes with Aleksandra, (the) one that I enjoyed the most was when I made an apple themed trivet. In making this pad to put hot dishes on, I was able to custom design it to fit the decorations already in my kitchen. I like being creative by taking an idea, picking the design and colors and placing the pieces together so they look like my idea.
The colors and the design of the trivet fit so well in my kitchen, that I keep it on the countertop next to the stove ready for me to place a hot pan, from the stove or oven, on it at any time. The material used in making it are a special kind of heat-resistant tiles, so after much use, both the trivet and the pots and pans that I have placed on it have not been damaged. The trivet cleans up using a damp wash cloth.
I am impressed with these classes (as) she helps me design the project, so I can spend most of my class time working on mosaics, instead of trying to figure out what I am going to do. (…) What I like most about these projects is the help I received from the instructor so they are the design and color that I want, and I am happy with the project when finished.”
